The Alamo, originally known as Mission San Antonio de Valero, is a former Roman Catholic mission and fortress compound in San Antonio, Texas. Once the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, and today a museum.

San Antonio Missions is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site encompasses a group of five frontier mission complexes situated along a stretch of the San Antonio River basin in southern Texas.
